Burch Hall 501 & 506

Back in January 2001 I was offered a room at the dorms at Kean University. I took it without hesitation, not caring about who I would be thrown in with. Turns out that I would be with these people longer than I thought I would be and became to think of them as friends rather than just people who sleep in the same apartment. Rodney and Chris were in my first room in Sozio Hall. We decided to get a room together for the next school year and bring in Jermaine. So we signed up for Burch Hall 501. Meanwhile, Chris' sister Lisa and her friends signed up for Burch Hall 506, just two doors down. I had no idea this would turn into the communal living situation that it did and get an extra new friend with the frequent addition of Reinaldo on some nights. Our room, along with Lisa's room which consists of her, Angela, Robyn and Dawn feels a lot like a big family. Granted it can be a messed up family with its share of problems and fights, but I like living here and hanging out with this crew. We all have different majors, different jobs, different lives and different backgrounds but it seems like we all share the same life. It is October as I write this and it will be interesting to see how our relationships will change over the next 6 months. It will be hard to leave them when I have to graduate but I am sure we will keep in touch for a long time.
