The Wind

Against the frigid wind I stand
I turn and it pursues -- Pushing me towards my fate.
Relentless force! I’m weakened.

Star Gazing

My eyes drink in the star strewn sky
Humbled, I begin to cry.
Each glance a porthole to another place in time.
And in one blink, it could end mankind.

Loneliness

Laughter fills the room, yet I’m alone.
Onward, I seek the company of a consonant spirit;
Never to be pierced by tormenting words or left in isolation.
Emptiness fills my heart.
Life’s swift passing creates a nebula of wants and desires.
In the void, I’m desperate for the warmth of life’s light.
Not one beam breaks through my solitude.
Emancipate me from my prison.
Sun, O’ Sun, please touch this soul!
Soul O’ Soul, sustain yet another day.
