Synopsis

Synopsis of Issue One

Our young outcasts awake to find themselves in a miltary compound. Not knowing how they got there or why, they decide to follow the suggestion of Jonathan and leave. Lexi accidently sets off a fire in the process of shorting out the lock on their cell door. While searching for an exit they hid from Government troops in another cell. This cell however is not empty, but contains a raving lunatic whom Lexi later christens the COG. After much debate, Moe wins out over Jonathan and they take the COG with them. Lexi's fire has become a raging inferno blocking the group's only exit. With the Government troops close behind, Jonathan decides to reveal his bionic arm by helping them escape.

In a cheap motel the group is trying to decide what to do - still not knowing why they were brought together. A chance comment from the COG makes it apparent that there are some "younger" children in danger. Back at the Government's head office Scarab, the leader, and his second in command, General Fox, are trying to decide how best to recapture the young people. Scarab, however, is not as concerned as he makes out.

Based on a tip from the COG the outcasts go to an old abandoned warehouse hoping to find the children and some answers. Instead all they find is old records and dust (and some really big spiders). Lindsey and Lexi hack into the computer database and bring up old medical files on genetic experiments. After further investigation Moe deduces that the "super humans" created in the experiment are actually them some twenty years later. This naturally shocks everyone, especially Daemon to whom the knowledge proves too much.

Confused and unable to get straight answers from the COG the group decides to stay together until they can uncover the truth about themselves. Scarab is pleased when he learns of the group's decision (through an inside informant), as it satisfies his own private adgenda.

BTW Incase you missed it, (like everyone else) Scarab and Fox are sleeping together!!! ACK!!! Can you imagine?!?!?! We are having difficulties ourselves.
