Magazine Review!

INTERNET underground

published by Ziff-Davis

An interesting read!? Unusal articles and links. Very entertaining. This magazine has been able to find the bizzare of the net. They don't just guide you there, they go into depth about the subject they want you to visit. Current issues are discussed, but they don't give info on the obvious, they dig much deeper, finding obscure information, that jump starts your inner thought process, leaving you with a sense of knowledge, you probably wouldn't have bothered to explore in the first place. Another thing cool about this magazine is very little ADVERTISING!!!! Just enough to pay for publishing and catch our interest on new products. It's a bit high at $4.99 US or $6.50 CAN, for around 80 pages, but the quality over the quantity, definitely makes up for the high price. I say check it out!

Book Review!

Dave Berry in Cyberspace!

written by Dave Barry, published 1996

Very, very, very FUNNY! I don't laugh out loud much, but I made an exception for this book! Dave really knows computers, and I think almost everything he talked about , I have experienced in one way or the other. It's $22.00 US or $27.00 CAN in hardback. I say buy it NOW, actually wait for the paperback, but like computers that change fast, so will the information in this book, so on 2nd thought, buy it NOW! 215 pages of nonstop light-hearted comedy. Dave actually talking about Cyberspace is only covered in a few chapters near the end of the book. He covers computers, systems, and software, too! If you ever watch and enjoy " Dave's World", you will appreciate his treatment, of a subject that is dear to us all!

Website Review!

Welcome to the new Red Green show!

http://www.redgreen.com/

This guy is Canada's answer to Tim "the tool man" Taylor on "Home Improvement". Syndicated on most Public television stations throughout the US and Canada. Red Green is extremely funny and his nephew, Harold, cannot be described, he must be experienced, trust me on this one!? Their website is entertaining, with program schedules, merchandise, backgrounds of the stars, a history of the show, and other interesting links. As a rule, I don't review commerical sites, but for the guys up at Possum Lodge, I'll bend the rules this time! Check the listing in your area, and your weekend projects will never be the same after you see this show!
