L'italiano non è più un impenitente scioperato....Se in Toscana, nel triennio 1975/8 sono andate perse quasi 18.847.000 ore per 235 (sic !) conflitti, molti dei quali estranei al mondo del lavoro, nel triennio 1985/7 le ore di sciopero si sono ridotte a 4.781.000 a causa di 125 conflitti e nel triennio 1993/5 a 1.271.000 per sole 60 vertenze. Nel 1995 la media delle ore perse si è avvicinata allo zero assoluto. Alla lunga, la dissennata e litigiosa politica adottata dai sindacati negli anni 70 ha sconcertato i lavoratori che -contrariamente a quanto si ritiene all'estero- non vengono retribuiti se non lavorano. E' quanto emerge dalle cifre: In Italia le adesioni dei lavoratori al sindacato sono calate significativamente nel decennio 1985/1995. In Toscana l'industria ha registrato una flessione di iscritti del 27,9%, l'agricoltura del 33.7%, il terziario del 12,2%. Nel 1985 erano iscritti ai tre maggiori sindacati (CGIL, CISL, UIL) 230.659 lavoratori attivi; a fine 1995 soltanto 202.510. Oggi sono iscritti ai sindacati più pensionati che lavoratori attivi; e gli interessi delle due categorie sono spesso contrastanti. That was caused by about 235 (sic!) conflicts, many of which extraneous to the world of work; in 1985/7 period the hours of strike have been reduced to 4,781,000 ,because of 125 conflicts; in the triennium 1993/ 5 to 1,271,000 for only 60 controversies. In 1995 the average of the lost hours has drawn near to the zero absolute. In the long run, the foolish and quarrelsome politics adopted from the labour unions in the 70ies has bewildered the workers who are not remunerated on striking. That's what comes out from the figures: In Italy the adhesions of the workers to the labour unions have lowered in a significant way in the decennium 1985/ 1995. In Tuscany the industry has registered a bending of affiliate of the 27,9%, the agriculture of the 33.7%, the services sector of the 12,2%. In 1985 were enrolled at the three greatest labour unions (CGIL, CISL, UIL) 230,659 active workers; at the end of 1995 only 202.510. Today are enrolled to the unions more retired than active workers; and the interests of the two categories are often conflicting.
