Uploading Files
If you use Netscape ver. 2.0 - 4.0 or MSIE ver. 4.0 you can upload your files using the EZUploader in the File Manager. (NOTE: the EZUploader will only handle files no greater than approximately 500kb in size.) Detailed instructions for using the EZUploader are found HERE.
General FTP Information
If you do NOT use one of the above mentioned browsers or your files exceed 500kb you will have to upload your files by using FTP Procedures.
Using WS_FTP
Complete instructions for Downloading, Setup and using WS_FTP_LE. This is the FTP program I recommend because it is both FREE and simple to use.
Using CuteFTP
Setup
- Click Add Site
- Site Label=Geocities
- Host Type=Auto Detect
- Host Address=ftp.oocities.com
- User ID=Geo Membername
- Password=Geo Password
- Log In Type=Normal
- Transfer Type=Auto Detect
- Click Ok
- Click Connect
- Put mouse pointer over the file in the left hand frame that you want to upload to Geo, left click and hold, drag file to right hand frame and drop. Continue this drag and drop for all the files you have to upload.
