There are many colors which can be reproduced using the HEXIDECIMAL color codes which can be used in webpages but the display should be set to a much HIGHER number of colors. These settings are High Color (16bit) and True Color (24bit) and will result in some dithering to reproduce.
The ColorBox below can be used to select colors useful in 16 and 24 bit schemes, while the color table below contains the colors and HEX values of the "Brower Safe" colors.
Slide the buttons for each color; Red, Green and Blue and obtain the RGB value and the HEX value of the color you select. You can use the values given, or you can use the "table" of colors below the SELECTOR which contains the HEX value of each color. Entering the color in the table in the selector will give you the RGB color if you need it. (Remember: Using the colors selected using the Selector are NOT "browser safe" and will be "dithered.)
Using the colors defined in the samples below will result in "browser safe" colors and will not be dithered.
