"Every year, over eight billion farm animals are raised, transported and slaughtered under inhumane conditions. The misery begins during production, where the animals are raised on large scale "factory farms" enduring months, even years, in overcrowded, intensive confinement operations. Laying hens, veal calves, and breeding sows live in cages or crates so small that they cannot even turn around or stretch their limbs. Dairy cows are forced to produce ten times the amount of milk than they would in nature and then are slaughtered when they become worn out. Upon arriving at the slaughter house, frightened animals are hit with canes, kicked and even shocked with electric prods to herd them to the killing floor. The slaughter houses are filled with the anguished cries of animals, as they are hoisted by one leg, and then slowly bled to death. The meat and poultry industry admit that some of the animals reach the scalding tank while they are fully conscience, and are boiled alive."

"Hi! I'm Jan. Thanks for visiting my page. At one time I was really down on hunting. After doing research and reading articles like the one above, I now feel that hunting is a much more humane way for meat eaters to get their meat...and let's face it, most people are going to eat meat no matter what. I would still never do it myself, and hate the idea of someone shooting an innocent animal. If the hunter is a good shot though, it is usually only one bullet, not all the suffering and pain the animals at farm factories go through. Hopefully, all you hunters out there will only shoot what your family will eat, and not abuse your hunting rights." "I get mail from people...mostly farmers...who disagree with the above article. I happen to believe it is true. I've seen many pictures, from reputable sources, showing how true this is. Please go to and read the links I have listed on this page, for more information. Thanks!"
"This page is always being updated. Please check back often and remember.....if it wasn't for the cows....we wouldn't have ice cream!!"
