Ho Phra Ratchakoramanuson
(Ayutthaya and Thon Buri Commemorative Chapel)

At the back of the Ordination Hall are situated two small chapels exactly of the same style, the north chapel called Ho Ratchakoramanuson enshrining Buddha images which were dedicated to the kings of Ayutthaya.

This chapel is situated to the south of its compnion building the Rattanakosin Commemorative Chapel. The two chapels were built at the same time and in exactly the same style to enshrine the small images Buddha that King Rama III had made and dedicated to each King of Ayutthaya and Thon Buri. The inner panels of the doors and windows of this chapel are covered with gilt lacquer designs with inscription of excerpts from the history of the Ayutthaya Period, which were painted on walls by Khrua In Khong.
