Mission Statement

The Arabian Oasis is dedicated to providing up-to-date information in Arabic text on the WWW. The objective is to aid media, NGOs and governments of the area with high quality 'ready-made' information that can be captured, edited and published in Arabic text. The material is mainly environmental awareness, sustainable development and appropriate technology.

Secondary aims include:

1. encouraging environmental NGOs to get in contact with the global community by giving an example of 'free' informative web site.
2. encouraging international NGOs and agencies to electronically post their Arabic material.
3. providing a collection of English material and resource for researchers interested in Middle East environmental conditions.
