Thanks so much for letting people know that not all rotties are perfect but that they all need love. I found your page while visiting some of the canine epilepsy sites. I would just like to applaud your efforts. I have a 6 year old Rott. with epilepsy. He is the dog of my dreams and I am a true lover of the breed. Thank you for helping these amazing nimals. I will certainly try to donate financially to the Rott. rescue closest to me and be assured if I ever consider getting another dog (I can't now because of my special pet), I will look into a Rott. rescue adoption. I love the new look! The background on the front page, that picture, how cute!!!! I really truly hope you are getting good feedback on the rescues that need help. Let's cry together. The unexpected death of one of my rottweilers two days ago cannot escape me. He died in a seizure in the middle of the night with no previous symptoms. My dogs provide such love and inspiration and it is always a shame to discover h w horribly some of their breed, or any animal for that matter, are treated. I wish that people would open their eyes for once to see how damaging their actions are, I mean, what has happened to this world that people are so hateful and destructive? I sa the saddening pictures of "American Dream" and read his story, and shake my head at the irresponsibility of man. Thankfully someone is helping. Thankfully there are still groups of people like yourselves who have a sense of decency and compassion, beca se it breaks my heart to hear about the tortures some of these dogs go through. Please continue your good work and if in the coming years I am able to finacially assist you I will. Also, if there are Rottwieler Rescues in or near Santa Monica, Californi , please put them into contact with me, because I would like to assist in some manner.

Love your site though it is so moving. I hope to rescue a rottie when our shephard "goes" one day. Would love to have a challange like American Dream. I wish you the best with him. We feed all raw foods and I would suggest that with him. The only way to feed your pets. Why feed dog food, it is only made up of euthanized pets. Never again will I feed commercial dog food again. I am sitting here crying after reading those sad stories of those rotties. I love my rotty more than anything in the world, I would do and give up everything to save his live if I had to. I don't know how people can be so cruel to there loving pets. My ro ty is named MAX and he is 7 and 1/2. I just love him so, we call him momma's boy. That he is. Read the article on AMERICAN DREAM and all the other special Rotties in need. Guess I needed a good cry. I had my wonderful angel, Bruno, for 5 1/2 years. He was a male Rottweiler. I had to put him down April 5, 1999. My vet had tried for 4 months to save him after a dog fight, but cancer developed and he was suffering. I had and am paying on a $2,500 ve bill. I miss my dog so much. I have talked to the Rottweiler Rescue League here in Houston. As soon as I can find other living arrangements (this is not easy on what I make), they have a dog for me. I pray every day for things to change so that I can have a Rottwiler again.

How is American Dream doing these days...I hope well...a friend of mine took in a 3 month old female who was very badly neglected. After extensive medical treatment and lots of love at 9 or 10 months...we're not sure...she is now a happy and almost healt y 60 pound little girl.

This page is so needed and even though it can make you cry with the stories of abuse...at least these that are rescued are out of the abuse.I know I will keep checking back for updates of the ones waiting for homes. When my own little one is grown up some I will add to my family and adopt one from the rescue program.
