Zoo Atlanta

I have seen this zoo come a long way since I was a child,I enjoy going to this zoo there are always new changes. They now have more natural habitats than they used to and that is a wonderful sight.I feel the animals may enjoy their captivity a little more than being behind bars.

The Fort Worth Zoo

I recently had the opportunity to visit this zoo in Texas.I highly recommend this zoo! We had a fantastic time there, they have penguins, komodo dragons,a great aviary,a white tiger, and an aquarium, plus much more. The animals all looked great. The gorilla habitat was unique as well-most of it, while being indoors was majority natural habitat. They had great veiwing areas as well, which as we all know is key to a good zoo.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Park

This was a fabulous experience!!This park is in Glen Rose Texas. It is a drive thru park.I highly recommend this park as well..it takes approximately 2 hours, more if you like,we had giraffes eating right out our hands,my daughter really enjoyed this. She thought it was great.

This a view overlooking Fossil Rim

Pine Mountain Wild Animal Park

This is another drive through park. This one is located in Pine Mountain Georgia, just south of Atlanta, near Callaway Gardens. You can drive through on your own or you can take one of their tours. We opted to drive on our own.You can feed the animals, but BEWARE of the camels, they will eat the food bag as well if they can get it.They have a pic nic area and a walk through area with monkeys, turtles, and other animals.

The San Antonio Zoo

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST ZOO I HAVE EVER VISITED !This zoo is located in San Antonio Texas. The day we were there (May 1,98)the weather was hot-about 90.The exhibits there were not pleasing, there was trash in them. Some of the animals were injured, and still on exhibit. There were still alot of caged animals. The Snow leopard was one that I particurly normally enjoy-not that day-the leopard was in an exhibit that was all concrete and fencing. The fencing was painted BLACK....I could not see any source of coolness for this animal. It was not fun to watch. He was walking around panting,no water to be seen, except a small bowl.I have emailed this zoo to let them know how I felt and have yet to receive a response.I guess they don't care. The only thing that I enjoyed about this zoo was that I did get to see some non typical zoo animals.

The Tennessee Aquarium

Located in Chattanooga Tennessee. If you like fish this is a wonderful place. They have freshwater and saltwater fish.It can take from 30 minutes to as long as you like.It is self guided so you take your time if you like.It usually takes me about 3 hours.I have been twice, and will probably visit there many more times. They have a catfish there that, the last time I was there it weighed 65lbs.If you are there at the right time you can watch them feed the fish. They also have ducks, birds, and otters.

San Antonio Sea World

This Sea World is, of course, located in San Antonio Texas. We had a great time there. They have a really nice penguin exhibit. They also have Grandbaby Shamu. This is the 2nd generation Orca to be born in captivity. They put on a wonderful show.

The Toledo Zoo

This zoo is located in Toledo Ohio.It was a very nice zoo, well on its way to being a wonderful zoo. They had a lot of really nice viewing areas. At the time I was there, the monkeys were still in cages though.I hope they have since changed that.
