           I rote a letter to my brother to day

           Nooks Rook Wood and my self Went on a lookout

           no drill but heavy inspectin to night

           I W ent after bread this morning then rote a letter home
           no drill this fore noon but inspection to night
5          Weather Warm and pleasant 
           We had squad drill this fore noon
           had battallion drill this after non
           had inspection
           2 new sargent and 2 corprels all so pointed to day
6          Weather pleasant and warm

           had had battalion drill with some of the 10 Ohio
           boys
           the rolanol of the 10 drilled us

           No drill to day
           We had marchen orders to day
           had orders to hav every thing redy

           Co A and Co D had Martshen orders to day
           we started from camp At to oclock
           went up the river 28 miles and got there at 9 in the
           evening
           we lade down on the bank to sleep the furst night

           15 men detald from each company to scout
           went 6 miles from the river but found no rebs
           got back at 4 Oclock
           Every thihg quiet in  camp now
