You may ask "Why a garden? Why a gazebo? The reason is simple.
I am a naturalist, a true soulful nature-lover.And in being so,
want to take the opportunity to speak about my greatest concern
for our world and maybe clue you in on a couple of things.
The Amazon river forest, looked upon as the"lungs of our earth",
is dying. A not-so-slow miserable death at the hands of oil
mongers, the usual "befuddled by red-tape" governments,
logging and the inexorable advancement of farming.
Adding to the destruction, The El Nino, a weather phenomenon
challenged the rain forests most fragile ecosystem. Wreaking
havoc on an already degraded and raped virgin forest, Mother Nature has visited with severe drought, high temperatures and vast fires. And now that El Nino is
past, there continues to be other situations just as deadly
to this fragile land
Now, call me a "tree-hugger", but I have sort of grown
accustomed to breathing. And find the neglect of our world,
the pollution and destruction of such viable and necessary sources
of nature to be simply deplorable.
Add the above combination together and the sum of it is this.
Saving the Amazon Rain Forest should be an international concern.
Join a group. Speak out. Write your congressman. Plant a tree.
Do something to get your concerns for our world to the people in
power to change it.
Before there is nothing left for the Children. For the Future.
Wise Words from a Friend:
I, too, am terribly disturbed by the destruction of the rain forest. I constantly ask myself why those that are destroying it do not realize the long range effect of their actions, that they are not only murdering the rest of the earth, but committing suicide. I shake my head in disbelief. I weep for the beauty lost, never to be recovered...at least, not in my life time. I weep for my children. I mourn my unborn grandchildren...I fear they will have no future..no life. I pray to God for mercy and forgiveness for us all. I give thanks for the people that do care.Maxcy

Mother, Father, God, Universal Power.
Remind us daily of the sanctity of all life.
Touch our hearts with the glorious oneness of all creation,
As we strive to respect all the living beings on this planet.
Penetrate our souls with the beauty of this earth,
As we attune ourselves to the rhythm and flow of the seasons.
Awaken our minds with the knowledge to achieve a world in perfect harmony. And grant us the wisdom to realize that we CAN have heaven on earth.
