Baby Angels

Blessed were we to hold these few, though the time was short

Our lives were graced by each of you, our Babies, so adored

The cries of each newborn birth, ring through the Heavens loud

A new life brings so much worth, to parents who are proud.

Our hopes and dreams within our reach, how will our new child be?

So many things we plan to teach, passed through the family tree.

But then one day, life took a turn, we found you in your bed.

We screamed for help, how we yearned, that you would not be dead

But all our efforts were in vain, your life had ceased to be

Our tears, they just fell like rain, no comfort could we see

Your life has touched our souls, and taught us to love

That was God's ultimate plan, before he took you above.

Now you're in Heaven, on Jesus' knee, with a halo on your head

You are laughing and smiling at me, by the Father's hand you're lead,

And dreams of all your yesterdays, haunt our hearts and souls

For tomorrow's are so far away, we'll never see you grow.

Although it hurts to say 'goodbye', we have to let you go

And now with Angel wings you fly, above our hearts and home

We know that you are doing well, though we'll never be the same

Goodbye our precious Baby Angel, we'll always speak your name

Your life is just one in a thousand, taken every year

By Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and there is no cure

In your memory, we will fight, to solve this mystery

We will search with all our might, to stamp out SIDS permanently

Life and Hope is a Baby's Breath, and special is each name

Through our Baby Angel's death, yours will reach it's First Birthday.

In Loving Memory of all the Beautiful Babies lost to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
