Reliable sources within the Mercedes-Benz organization state that this brand-new Mercedes-Benz will be presented in 14 days in Stuttgart, Germany. Further reports from these sources say that the designation "V-Class 14" comes from the fact that the seating capacity (including driver) altogether is 14 than rather from the fact that the wheelbase is lengthened by exactly 1.4 metres.
Reliable sources inside the Mercedes-Benz organization further report that this new van will have 14 seats so the name V-Class 14 is very likely to distinguish it from the V-Class variants with less seats, but in contrast to that other MB sources report the name comes from the fact the car will have 1+4 wheels, the 1 wheel for the driver to steer the car into the desired direction and altogether 4 wheels mounted to each end of the two car`s axles.
Additionally it`s said to be the first MB to come with 14 months of full factory guarantee (as opposed to the twelve months only usual for all MB`s in Germany) plus a 14-year anti-rust guarantee.
Also a 1.4 per cent financing scheme is reported to be considered by MB as well as a special 14 per cent rebate for taxi companies, who in Germany normally get a 10 per cent discount only. The leasing plan is expected to have very attractive conditions, too: A 14 per cent deposit and no leasing rates at all in the first 14 months!
The car will be richly equipped with lots of features coming as standard so the option list will only contain 14 positions including such useful items as windscreen and driver`s seat. The top of the range line "Carat" version will come with a 14 carat golden car-jack and 14 0.14 carat diamonds, one on each button on the dashboard.
The van will come with the choice of a new 1.400ccm engine with 14 cylinders, with each cylinder`s 14hp coming to a total of 196hp thus enabling the car to accelerate from 0-120km/h in less than 14 seconds and will have a fuel consumption of below 14 litres per 100km on average. If there will additionally come other new engines the sources weren`t be able to report yet.
Prices are said to start at DM 14.000 (USD 7.500 assumed USD 1 = DM 1.85) above those of the standard-length versions. The gold-metallic coloured only "Carat" version will carry a hefty price-tag in the DM 140.000 region, but will be limited to 1.400 vehicles only so rush to order as it`s the very first Mercedes-Benz ever to come ex-factory with gold and diamonds!
