A Little Bit About the Founder:

I, Ralph M. Bohm, was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 26, 1957, and along with my (fraternal) twin brother, Claus M., and younger brother (by six years) Wolfgang, grew up in Queens and later, Freeport, New York.

As a young teen-ager, I played around with cars teaching myself the mechanics and auto bodywork by hand in the driveway of my parent's house. Then at age 21, I moved for a few years, up to New England. from there, I went into the trucking industry which effectively put a hold on any time available for cars.

I decided to change careers and had this crazy idea to drive trucks.

Moving to Houston, Texas, I then began driving truck long distance, and for the next 15 years, drove irregular route, 48 states and Canada. The car hobby had to be put on hold. During those "trucking" years, I started a family and have lived in Texas, Alabama, New Mexico, California finally ending up back in New England. I, a father of three grown kids now live in Maine, and am attending Maine Maritime Academy where I am embarking on yet another new career. This schooling will take me until 2007. The plan is to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportaion Operations and will also be able to "sit" for the United States Coast Guard 3rd Mates license. Perhaps, since I am am in school at this age, I might as well consider another year to attain a Masters in International Business that is being offered here. This means that I will not go out to sea until latter part of 2008.

The 1966/67 Dodge Charger part:
Early on during my driving tractor/trailers around the country, I found an old '66 Dodge Charger sitting in the back of someone's property outside of Tuscon, Arizona. It could be seen from the Interstate 10 but only from the vantage point of something high off the ground like the semi-truck tractor. I talked the owner into selling it to me. This is the 1966 Dodge Charger that was the basis for the beginning of this website started in early 1995,

Self portrait
Since 2001, I have been living a more normal life having weekends and holidays again. I have spent a little time in the Information Technology field after getting out of the long-distance trucking industry and a brief venture in international sales involving Russian trade between the United States and Russia. So far I've been to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia twice; once in Sept/93 and again in July/94.

When I am not studying Biology or Precalculus, I still do a little work on websites with a small website design/development business called
