I am a student in the Fall 2008 Concepts For A Digital World, (CFADW), course at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  I am enrolled in the Special Events Planning H111 Program.
I am taking the CFADW course because the world of information technology is rapidly changing and I would like to learn as much as I can.  It is important to grasp new concepts, terms and ideas to keep up with the new changes and demands.

I am interested in information technology because all jobs now require the use of technology in some form, and it is important to have experience and knowledge before entering the workforce.  In Special Events Planning, it is important to be organized and computers help to remain structured and up to date.  I am interested in learning about cyber crimes such as fraud, as well as all mediums of communication such as telecommunication, television, radio, the internet, etc.

I presently know how to operate a home PC, efficiently use Microsoft Office applications, send and receive email, explore the internet, and view and listen to music and movies on a PC.  I have had to use technology in my job as an In-Seat Server, as a Legal Assistant, and as a student.
