Warped Tour

Buffalo, NY at La Salle Park

12:00 P.M.

Entourage: Bill, Ashley, Lizz, Lizz's older brother, this other kid, Tim

We got to La Salle Park after walking a 1/2 hour from our car. Tim was all pimped out in my dunkin donuts shirt and my plaid salvation army jacket. He looked super cool in it. We walk around a bit, picking up all of the cool free cds, posters, stickers, etc. Tim and I watch the planetsmashers for a second. Then walk on. It's almost time for the bosstones. So we walk to our positions up front. Antiflag is across the way playing on stage b. I really wanted to see them but I wanted to get a good spot for the bosstones. The Bosstones came on and played one song of each release they have. Super cool. And they ended with a Angry Samoans cover of "Lights Out." I was in heaven. I love that song. We got on line for the Bosstones autograph signing. MXPX was on while the bosstones signed autographs. Bill and Tim were happier that kids in a candy store. Proudly walking away with their autographs and meeting the band. Bill and I went back up front for the NOFX. They were really good too. I walked around. I made fun of Save Ferris. The leader singer got really fat. Little a small tugboat.

Greenday came on and they sucked. They played 5 songs, all old stuff. It just reminded me of the direction that Blink 182 is heading to. I don't even understand how they can call themselves punk. They sing about absolutely nothing. They run around naked and they are on MTV. What's punk about that? I that punk meet rebelling against the system and the man. To talk about starwars (not the movie), world problems and President Regan. So I guess the only thing that Blink has similar to any old school punk bands is they have tattoos. I thought sailors were the only ones who had tattoos. So I guess the whole pop/punk movement (Blink 182, Greenday, Lefty) are all sailors. I will dub it the sailor movement from now on. How could any moron possibly see that Blink 182 and Black Flag are in the category?

Then I went to check out Hot Water Music. One of the best shows I saw all day. I can't wait to see them again. I have nothing but great things to say about this band.

Then to end the evening, Bill and I ran it the circle pit at the Sanpcase show. It was great.

I ran into from Cortland: Holly, Dan, and Mark the leader singer from The Loiterers.
