The Sacred Black Mother
Mother at the peak of her womanly powers.
She rears children and nurtures others.
The Black
Mother is Life.
She is the Black Madonna who
tenderly rocks her baby,
but she is also the
lioness who hunts
to feed her cubs and will
fight to the death to protect them.
She is the Eternal Black Goddess.
All people of colour are her children
All genders are her children
All creatures are her children
All time is her domain
Her body is the earth
Reverence Her and hers
Early humans depended on the earth
for all things, food,
shelter, and life itself.
They noticed that all life
was created within the bodies
of females and so it was natural
for them to see an all-powerful
creator as female too.
