SUNSET CENTRAL FANFICTION

A New Beginning
By Samantha

Epilogue.
Caitlin: Well, that's it. Our divorce is final. You're free to marry
Francesca.
Cole: You know I'll always love you, but there are too many secrets and
lies between us, for us to stay together. I only hope we can be friends
someday, for Trey's sake.
Caitlin: I want that, as well. It will take awhile to get used to being
without you anymore, Cole.

Chapter One.

Francesca: I have been waiting for us to be together for so long, it
doesn't seem real. Now, we're finally getting married. I'll be Mrs. Cole
Deschanel.
Cole: And, I can't wait to be your husband. I don't want there to be any
secets between us Francesca-ever. Caitlin and I never had complete trust
in our marriage. A marriage without trust can never survive. What she
and I had is really over, for good.
Francesca: I was thinking that we should start over somewhere else.
Somewhere that's far away from Sunset Beach.
Cole: I can't leave Trey, Francesca. He's my son, and taking him away
from Olivia after everything she's been through this past year, is not
an option. Besides, she would not allow me to take him away from her.
Francesca: Come on, Cole. Do you really think you'll be able to handle
constantly running into your ex-wife? We could go to San Francisco.
You'll still be able to see Trey whenever you want to. I'd like to meet
your mother and sister, anyway. What do you say we blow this pop-stand?
Cole: I'm staying here Francesca, and that's final. If you can't accept
that, then we shouldn't get married.
Francesca: No Cole, I haven't waited for us to be together, only to lose
you a second time. If you're happy here, then so am I. I'd follow you to
the ends of the earth, if it meant we would be together.
Cole: I'm glad you feel that way, because I'm not going to miss watching
my son grow up.
Francesca: Now that that's settled, let's start planning our wedding. I
want our wedding to be as big as the one your grandparents had, Cole.

CHAPTER TWO

The chapel, on the day of the wedding. 250 guests are there. Gregory,
who is thrilled to finally be getting Cole out of Caitlin's life once
and for all, is giving Francesca away.
Antonio: Cole Deschanel, do you take this woman, Francesca Vargas, to be
your lawfully wedded wife in sickness, and in health, in good times, and
in bad, for richer, or for poorer? Will you promise to love and cherish
her, for as long as you both shall live?
Cole: I do.
Antonio: Francesca Vargas, do take this man, Cole Deschanel, to be your
lawfully wedded husband, in sickness, and in health, in good times, and
in bad, for richer, or for poorer? Will you promise to love and cherish
him, for as long as you both shall live?
Francesca: I do.
Antonio: Then, by the power vested in me, and the state of California, I
now pronounce you husband and wife. Cole, you may kiss your bride.
Short pause.
Antonio: Ladies and Gentlemen, it's with great pleasure that I present
to you, Mr. and Mrs. Cole Deschanel.
Two hours later, the reception is almost over. Francesca's Maid of
Honor, Bianca has announced it's time to cut the cake. After they cut
the cake, Francesca throws her bouquet-which Caitlin catches. Then Cole
throws the Garter Belt-which Tim catches. A few minutes later, Cole and
Francesca leave for their two week honeymoon, which they will be
spending in Europe.

CHAPTER THREE

It's three months after Cole and Francesca have returned from their
honeymoon, and find out she going to have a baby. They go to the
hospital to find out if it's a boy, or a girl.
Tyus: Everything seems fine, Francesca. Would you two like to know what
the sex of your babby is?
Cole and Francesca in unison: Yes.
Francesca: I think it's going to be a boy, Tyus. Am I right?
Tyus: Yes, Francesca, you're right. You two are going to have a son.
Cole: This is wonderful news! Thank you, Tyus. Now I won't have to miss
one day of watching him grow up.
Francesca: Yes, thank you Tyus.
Tyus: I want you to come in once a month, just to make sure the
pregnancy is developing like it should.
Francesca: I will.
Cole and Francesca thank Tyus again, and leave the hospital. Six months
later, Francesca has given birth to a ten pound baby boy. They are
trying to decide what to name him.
Cole: I like the name Patrick. Do you like that name?
Francesca: It's fine, but I prefer Michael. What about Michael Patrick?
Cole: We'll name our next child Patrick, if it's a boy. I want that as a
first name.
Francesca: Okay, that's fine.
After choosing a name, they go to the nursery to see him, and on the
card , it says that his name is Michael Bernard Deschanel, who was born
on St. Patrick's day, 1999.
