The movie is directed by Alan Parker. In addition to the direction, Parker worked with Oliver Stone on the screenplay. Both deserve equal praise and credit.
According to Madonna, "Evita" consists of 75% singing and 25% dialogue, so we can look forward to hearing those beautiful lyrics made by Tim Rice, and those great tunes made by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The 2-CD soundtrack is currently available for your listening pleasure. The tracks are beautiful.
