Roller Coaster Reviews - Disney's California Adventure

Here are some of the coasters, and what we think of them, at Disney's California Adventure.

California Screamin'
Despite high expectations for this ride, California Screamin' did not so much disappoint. Our first ride near the middle provided moderate floats down all the steep hills, a smooth ride with virtually no headbanging and, at the end, a series of bunny hops providing that sweet, sweet, airtime that its manufacturer, Intamin, is know for. This ride reminded us of Six Flag's Magic Mountain's Revolution. It had been six years since we rode that coaster, but maybe it was the white track, maybe it was the single circular loop in the middle of the ride, or maybe it was the well-paced layout that made us think fondly of the earlier coaster. Also, we had heard that California Screamin' normally has a soundtrack on board the trains during the ride, but we rode without that.

Mulholland Madness
Jon rode this ordinary mouse just for the credit.
