BAKER, FREDERICK A., was born June 14, 1846, in Holly,
Mich. He commenced the study of the law in 1865, was
admitted to the bar in 1867, and has been in active practice
ever since. In 1877 he served with distinction as a member
of the Michigan state legislature.
