The Rose Beyond the Wall

A rose once grew where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
and, as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall..

One day, a beam of light shone through  a crevice that had opened wide-
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side...

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted-the rose blooms there-
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God's own loving care.

I'm sorry Lori but 18 1/2 weeks is not compatible with life and we are going to have to delivery the baby.

These are the words that shattered my very being and these are the words that I still hear in my dreams.  My name is Lori and I'm 30 years old and June 27, 2000 I lost my son.  In sharing my story I'm hoping I can help someone else cope a little better with their tragic loss.  Please read my story and know you are not alone and if you would like to talk please feel free to email me.
