Even though most contemporary radio stations today don't like playing songs from the past, there are a few stations around that still do. Locally here in the Boise, Idaho valley area Classic Country Music can be heard on AM Radio Station KFXD, 630 on the AM dial.

Classic Country Music goes back many generations, before the modern artists of today switched over to contemporary, or country-rock as it is often referred to now.

Classic Country Artists have been making a come-back in the Industry despite many radio stations not wanting to play their music.

From Loretta Lynn's "Coal Miner's Daughter" telling the story of growing up dirt poor in a large family is a real rags-to-riches story to Tammy Wynette's blind loyalty in "Stand By Your Man", Classic Country Music (often referred to as "Country & Western") is indeed full-filling.
