Jacob Stover of Spotsylvania Co. Virginia

Jacob Stover of Spotsylvania Co. Virginia commissioned George Hume to survey land on South River Shenandoah in 1733, issuing a promissory note to Hume in the amount of 4 pounds, 16 shillings, & dated 13 Apr 1735.

George Hume drew a reworked overview for all of Stover's property, even platting the tract sold to Stover's Shewmaker (Cobbler) on 11 Dec 1733

He drafted divisions of Stover's Land on 19 & 20 Mar 1734/35. (Judgements 1736, Dorman, Orange Co, Va Deed Book 3 & 4 abstracted, p 91)

Stover received a patent from the Coloney of Virginia for 5,000 acres of Massanutten on 15 Dec 1733.

Jacob Stover & his wife Margaret sold 300 acres of the 5,000 acre tract to Henry Sowter for 15 pounds on 16 Dec 1735.

Sowter sold 300 acre tract to Ludwick Stone for 25 pounds 20 Sep 1736

(Tract 111D, map 14) Jacog Stover & Margaret sold 550 acres Tract to Christian Clemons for 28 pounds 17 Sep 1735.

Christian and his wife Catharina Margarita Clemons sold 550 acres tract to Ludwick Stone for 60 pounds on 22 Mar 1737/38.

15 Dec 1735 Stover sold Ludwick Stone 3 tracts (part of the 5,000 land) for 84 pounds: a 400 acre trace (Tract 11F, Map 14);
another 400 acres (Tract 111H, map 14);
a 300 acre tract (Tract 111N, map 14)

(Orange Co, Book 1, p 200) Jacob Stover sold the remainder of the 5,000 acrea patent land (1,050 acre tracts 111A/B/V/R. map 14) Ludwick Stone for 110 pounds on 25 November 17??.
