Can I Be Forgiven?
In my time of talking to people, I have spoken to several who feel that God cannot forgive them because of what they have done or where they are at in their lives at present.

PLEASE if you feel like this READ ON!

My Friends, YOU are precious to God. Even the hairs on your head are numbered (Lk 11:7). He knew you before you were born and has a plan for your life.(Ps 139: )
If you want forgiveness we need to ask God for it. "For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened."
ALL of us have done things we need forgiveness for. Sin (wrong things) is sin in God's eyes and it doesn't matter if they are big or small, we all need to ask to be forgiven!

God didn't send Jesus to earth to judge you or me, but because He loves you (and me) so much, He sent Jesus to save you instead. (John 3:17).  He loves you - it doesn't matter what you have done. If you are really sorry for what you have done, and are going to make some lifestyle changes (so you don't do it again), ask God for forgiveness and He will forgive you.  This will NOT stop the consequences of your actions from happening though. If you murder someone, God will forgive you, but you will still need to go to court etc. If you lie, cheat, steal etc., God will forgive you but you will still bear the consequences of your actions.
Satan is a liar. If he is telling you that you can't be forgiven DON'T believe it. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead three days later and He defeated Satan through this. The blood that Jesus shed paid the price for your forgiveness - Reach out and ask today (1Pet 3:18)(for Christ also died for sins once for all.....) and He himself, bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed." 1Pet 2:24
When Jesus walked the earth, even then he chose forgiveness over judgment.
The Pharisees and scribes(the people who handed out the judgments in those days) brought a woman to Jesus. She had been caught in adultery (John 8:3-11).  Now under Jewish law she should have been stoned to death. They asked Jesus repeatedly what he thought should be done with the woman. "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her".(John 8:7) was His answer.
The Pharisees and scribes left one by one because NONE of us is without sin. They left him alone with the woman. He asked her " ......did no one condemn you?..." and when she said no He replied "Neither do I condemn you; go your way. From now on sin no more." (John 8:10-12)
We need to ask for forgiveness and CHOOSE not to do it again. Now this might not be easy!!!!!! Bad habits are not easily broken but with God's help and our inner resolve we can replace these with Godly habits.
Reading your bible and praying(talking to God) are two habits we all should have in our lives. Reading the bible teaches us about God and His ways - you will find that God truly loves you and forgives you and in His word (the bible) you will find principles to live by. Start with the New Testament (towards the back of the book).

Who is acceptable?
Peter was talking to a soldier(centurion) named Cornelius and he said to him "....God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right, is welcome to Him.(Acts 10:34-35). Peter also told him that (of Jesus).... all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins".  This means if you believe in Jesus in Jesus' name you will receive forgiveness.
