Thomas D. Cook was born in North Carolina and resided
there as a farmer prior to enlisting at the age of 35 in Company B.
He was appointed 2nd Lieutenant on September 14, 1861. He resigned on January
7, 1862, for unknown reasons. Lieutenant Cook is buried in the Cook
Cemetery in Watauga County, North Carolina.
