These are pictures of our daughter
Sarah. She was born at 30 weeks (10 weeks early).
I want to tell you about how she got here and How God has blessed us.
My wife
Janel's water broke at about 28 weeks but she had no contractions.
So as a result of this she spent the time, till Sarah came to join us,
in the hospital. Janel really didnt have many problems at all
besides boredom and not being able to get outta bed.
The whole time there were people all over praying for Sarah.
I had such a peace about how God was in control of the situation that I
knew that any day that she came that she would be fine without any troubles.
I have never felt such a peace before in my life. The
doctors and some of the nurses thought i was nuts or something.
Finally the day came, the beginning of week 30. The doctor
told my wife she could get up and get a shower and then it all started.
Her contractions started at around 9:30a.m. on a regular basis and proceeded
slowly. It was a natural delivery and finally at 4:26a.m.
she was born. She wieghed 2lbs. and 12 oz. and was 15 1/2 inches
long.
The pictures
above were the day she was born. The doctors soon pulled me
aside to tell me that she was doing good but that we would have to remember
the good days because there was a long road ahead of long days and that
we would need to look back on these days to get us through.
After 2 days we got to hold her. She was breathing without
a respirator the day after she was born and a doctor told us that if morphine
hadnt been needed during delivery that she may have not even needed help
at all. God is so good!!!!!! Basically
i told the doctor that God was going to take care of her and i knew that
there wouldnt be any problems. He told me that it wasnt very
realistic(I know thats his Job though). But somehow God had
assured me that she was going to do great.
Long story
short.........She came home in 34 days....she amazed all in the neonatal
icu and they decided that the best thing we could do was take her home
and feed her out. So we took her home at 3 lbs and 15 oz.
She has no problems from the premature birth and is a huge blessing.
God is so good.
