"Hope"

I cling to her memory and I long for her smile.
Remembering the sensations when I was a child.
Hope is the future that when my life is gone.
I'll walk in the heavens where she's been for so long.

I know she's an angel and clothed with a gown.
Her wings are of white, upon her head is a crown.
The hope that I cling to one day will appear.
This heart will no longer shed all these sad tears.

I hunger for her laughter, to hear her songs that
she sang.
Her whimsical nature that would light up my days.
The hope that I'll see her when my life must end.
In the heavens a new life, for us will begin.

Life is so precious and abundantly so.
Life can be taken before we're ready to let go.
Our life here on earth is our own Heaven's trial.
This hope is the reason we must not live in denial.

I know that in Heaven she is waiting for me.
Smiling from her castle above all the seas.
Watching over my shoulder making sure I do right.
Guiding me through all the dark lonely nights.

She's waiting so patiently. That was one of her traits.
Leading me down the narrow path that is straight.
Guiding me through all the triumphs I've won,
and holding my hand when I've failed at one.

Hope is what I cling to and what Heaven has to offer.
An everlasting life when we no longer have to suffer.
A life with no sorrow and a brand new beginning.
A life without pain and a life never ending.

I hope to hear her laughter. I hope to hear her song.
I hope in ever after and I hope that I'll belong.
I hope to see my angel and I hope to see her crowned.
I hope to see my Mother in her snow-white evening gown.
