RABBI KRANZ'S HESPED
It is during tragic events such as this, that we as human beings ache to understand the ways of G-d. But alas, we are just creations. How can we even imagine understanding the ways and mind of our Creator?
Although it is true, as the Baal Shem Tov taught, that we need to take a lesson and somehow better ourselves from everything we hear or see, let us not be fooled into thinking that we really know why at times G-d allows us to suffer.
Let no one say, that perhaps we weren’t good enough or that we didn’t do our best to bring about a miracle. If anything, our community has shown great courage and true Ahavas Yisroel in all of our efforts. We don’t know why G-d runs the world the way He does – we hardly understand our own actions.
Yossi was a little angel – running around and bringing a smile to anyone who was lucky enough to see that incredible twinkle in his eye. But now dear Yossi it your turn to be surrounded by angels, and to be escorted on high, with G-d above.
I dare ask you one thing Yossi. That when you come before G-d Almighty, read to Him in His own words, from the Torah which He is bound by as we are, read to Him the Commandment which says, that it is forbidden to take a young bird in front of it’s mother. In your sweet voice, remind Him that it’s forbidden to take a child in front of his mother... And by His own law, He needs to return you to your family with Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
As everybody knows Yossi loved Jewish music. And so in the holy words of our Sages that describe how the angels accompany the soul on its new journey, I sing to you Yoss this song:
On your right, Michoel, on your left Gavriel, Before you, Uriel, and behind you Refael, And on your head, the Shechinas Ell.
