Right in between winter and summer, on about March 20th, day and night are each 12 hours long. This is called the vernal equinox. It is the first day of spring north of the equator. The Vernal Equinox is one of the four great seasonal changes every year. Day and night are equal, and the changing weather can lift the spirits of young -- and old -- alike!
