My line of descent is as follows: Richard (b 1615 England)> Peter b. 1654> John or Samuel (brothers)> Peter "The Quaker" b. 1715> Charles b. 1742> Francis b. 1781> Levi b. 1820.

Richard Stout b. 1615 Nottinghamshire, England and d. 1705 Middletown, Monmouth, NJ. He married 1644 Gravesend, Kings LI, NY Penelope (Kent) Van Princen b. 1622 Holland and d. 1732 Middletown, Monmouth, NJ. Richard and Penelope had at least 10 children: John, Richard, James, Mary, Alice, Peter, Sarah, Jonathan, David and Benjamin. Peter Stout, the son of Richard and Penelope, is who I will continue with. Peter b. 1654 Gravesend, Kings, NY and d. 1703 Middletown, Monmouth, NJ. He married 1670 Middletown, Monmouth, NJ to Mary Bollen (Bullen?). They had at least 5 children: Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary, John and Samuel.

Samuel Stout (son of Peter) was b. 1675 Newcastle, DE. That's about all I know of him, except he had at least one son:

Peter "The Quaker" Stout was born 14 April 1715 in Newcastle, DE and died 28 Aug 1802 Cane Creek, Orange, NC. He married 1739 in York, OH to Margaret Cyfert (or variant) b. 22 JUne 1716 Germany and died 10 Oct 1799 Cane Creek, Orange, NC. They had at least 7 children: Samuel, Charles, Margaret, Joseph, Peter, Elizabeth and Rachel. It is with Charles I continue.

Charles Stout b. 29 May 1742 in Lancaster, PA and d. 3 Jan 1822 Cane Creek, Orange, NC. He married 3 Dec 1767 Hillsboro, Orange, NC to Mary Noblit(t). Mary was b. 1746 and d. 2 Mar 1811 Cane Creek, Orange, NC. Charles and Mary had at least 10 children: John, Peter, Sarah, Charles, Mary, David, Margaret, Francis, Aaron and Solomon. It is with Francis I continue.

Francis Stout b. 14 Nov 1781 Cane Creek, Orange Co., NC and d. 1859 Weakley Co., TN. Francis married Ann ____ in NC. Francis and Ann are buried on a farm about 1/4 mile south of Meridian C.P. Cemetery in Weakley Co., TN. They were Quakers. Francis and Ann had at least 2 children: Levi and Caroline.

Levi Stout b. 1820 NC and died 18 May 1908. He and his wife are buried in Meridian Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, Weakley Co., TN. Levi married 15 June 1843 Weakley Co., TN to Ann Earls b. 20 Nov 1825 NC and d. 30 Mar 1891. They had 10 children probably all born Weakley Co., TN: John William, Martha A., Samuel, Susan, Henry, Mary Ellen, Solomon, Granville Monroe, Daniel and Thomas. It is with Martha A. Stout I continue.

Martha A. Stout was my gg grandmother. She was b. abt 1846 Weakley Co., TN and d. 1954 Weakley Co., TN. She married 23 Dec 1862 Weakley Co., TN to Daniel Chambers Galey b. abt 1834 and died after 1877. They had at least 6 cildren: Andrew E. Galey, Roland H. Galey, Minnie Bell Galey, Lacey Galey, Florance Galey and Rintha Galey.
