Proverbs 22: 6

Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old,
he will not depart from it.

Christine,
Another Beloved One!

Christine

Ten weeks old, 1975

We knew right from the start of our marriage that we wanted more then one child. We had to wait a year after we adopted David before we could look into adopting again. A few of my friends and I would pray that God would send us a little girl. Since this would be the last time we would adopt, we wanted a baby girl less then six months. When the case worker called in January of 1976, and told us of a four month old baby girl, WE REALLY GOT EXCITED! We knew once again that the LORD does answer prayer.

That weekend we got to see her; and she was beautiful and we could not wait to get her home. It was January 28, 1976, a snowy winter day, when we finally brought her home. We changed her name from Ann Marie to Christine and now our family is complete.

Christine was four years old when we moved to Kansas and that started a whole new life for us. Christine found many friends on our street where we lived and many new friends at church.

As a little girl she was always on the go. She had a neighbor friend that was the same age. They would play for hours with their Cabbage Patch dolls, Barbie dolls, and some mischief too as little girls do.

We encouraged Christine to take piano lessons. She did manage to get two trophies for second place at a church youth competition in Texas.
