Index of Links to All 'Christian' Denominations and Cults on the Web

By using the term 'Christian' I am not trying to imply that I believe that all of these groups are true Christians, I am simply saying that the claim to be 'Christian'. I am also not trying to promote the ecumenical movement.

I am changing the format of this index. Click Here for the new look of the index (this is the list of Baptist denominations (with more descriptions of the denominations)). Also please drop me an e-mail or sign my guestbook and let me know if you like or dislike the new format. Last updated 25 July 98. Feel free to e-mail me any links you might have Johnny.

The Evangelical Lutheran Synod
The ELS was formed in 1918 (and was originally called the Norwegian Lutheran Synod) in order to counteract another Lutheran Church merger in 1917 (in which the churches involved taught that man could cooperate in his salvation). The ELS remains very theologically conservative and confessional.

Free Evangelical-Lutheran Synod in South Africa
The Free Evangelical-Lutheran Synod in South Africa (FELSISA) was founded in 1892. It is quite conservative and is a sister church of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. FELSISA maintains a separtist stance and refrains from working with non Lutheran churches and Lutheran churches who do not teach the Holy Scriptures as the inspired Word of God and who tolerate false doctrine - and also those, that are in fellowship with churches that do so. FELSISA is a member of the International Lutheran Council.

The Lutheran Church in Australia
Lutheran Church - Canada
Formed by the Canadian churches of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in 1988, they retain close ties and are doctrinally similar to the LCMS.

The Lutheran Confessional Synod

The Lutheran Ministerium and Synod - USA
Formed in 1995 as a "moderate conservative" Lutheran body the Lutheran Ministerium and Synod - USA (LMS - USA) emphasizes 1.) a view of Holy Scripture as being divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible; 2.) the complete autonomy of the local congregation; 3.)a practice of liturgical worship; 4.)an understanding of the Holy Spirit as working with the Church" solely through Word and Sacrament." The LMS-USA is counteracting the Charismatic Renewal movement within Lutheranism.

Christian Churches of God
The Christian Church of God is an Unitarian (not to be confused with the Unitarian - Universalist Association - please click on the link to find out what is meant by the term Unitarian) group believing Christ was the first Being created by the Father. They adhere to the keeping the New Moons, Feasts, Sabbaths (Saturday), The Old Testament dietary laws and Tithing regulations in accordance with the Biblical Jubilee Cycles. They also do not believe in the eternal torment of the wicked, but rather the unjust will be destroyed at the final ressurection. They beleive these doctrines have been faithfully kept in succession for the past 2000 years by their predecessors. They also believe in the Divine Inspiration of Scripture and these doctrines are the result of trying to follow the literal intent of Scripture.
