G.W.

G.W. joined our family in August 2000 when we bought our house in the country. He allowed us to take possession and move into it with the stipulation that we provide him with a diet of cat food, dog food, shrimp, and assorted tidbits and treats on demand.

We later found out from our new neighbors that G.W. had been living in the neighborhood for about six months and eating at various houses. Apparently he now prefers the fare at our house because he seems to spend the majority of his time very close to home when not actually inside.

The "G" and "W" actually stand for "gray" and "white" but now that George W. Bush has been chosen as president the same year that we were chosen to support this cat, we feel it makes G.W.'s name even more appropriate.

G.W. has turned out to be a very mellow and loving lapsitter of a cat. He is not the least intimidated by the dogs and thinks nothing about walking under Boomer and between his front legs to get to the dogfood bowl.
