Diabetes

Diabetes..disease commonly due to the inability of the body to use sugar.

Hi, my name is Pam. On Feburary 19, 1997 I was diagnosed with Diabetes. It didn`t come as a surprise to me though. My mother has had Diabetes for over 30 years.

I`m not on Insulin though. But on a medication called Glucotrol. So far it is working for me. I`m also on a diet and that has helped me also. My mother has been on Insulin and has been for over 30 years.

It scares me sometimes though, that I will have to go on Insulin also. But as long as I`m watching my diet and taking my medication I should be ok, says my doctor.

I have looked all over the net for things on Diabetes to help me get through all this, I hope these helps you also...
