According to the Luxembourg Constitution the succession to the Throne is regulated by the "Nassauische Erbverein" of 1783, which originally was the Nassau Succession Pact. The succession is semi-salic.
Princes who contract a marriage without consent of the sovereign are - with the descendants from that marriage - excluded from the succession.
Princes are allowed to renounce their right of succession.
