Stephen Collins is one of LA's busiest actors, moving effortlessly between television, film and theater.  Stephen was born October 1st in Des Moines, Iowa and raised in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.  He currentely lives in LA with his wife Faye Grant and their daughter.  After performing in an Amherst production of T.S. Eliot's "Murder in the Cathedral," he decided to pursue a professional career in acting.  Graduating cum laude from Amherst, he began to embark on his acting career.  Prior to joining the cast of 7th Heaven, Stephen had starring roles in the television dramas "Sisters," "Working It Out,"  "Tattinger's" and "Tales of the Gold Monkey."  He also starred in a number of acclaimed miniseries: "Scarlett," Emmy-award winning "A Woman Named Jackie," "Hold The Dream," "Chiefs" and "The Two Mrs. Grenvilles" for which he received an Emmy nomination.  No stranger to the big screen, his numerous feature film credits include "Jumpin Jack Flash," "Brewster's Millions," "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," "The Promise," "The First Wives Club," "Drive Me Crazy,"  and the critically acclaimed "All the President's Men."  Sgaring a passion for the theater, Stephen has appeared in Broadway productions of "Moonchildren," "The Ritz" and "The Loves of Anatol."  He also performed in the New York Shakespeare Festival with Josephn Papp directing him in "Twelfth Night," "One of the Guys" and "Macbeth."  He also directed the regional production of "The Old Boy."  Stephen had little time to prepare for his minister role.  Cast only a day and half before production was to begin, he had to rely on instincts and sibling role models to develop the character of Eric Camden.  Today, he regularly consults with his family church rector and other church officials when he's traveling on the road.  Offscreen, Stephen is an accomplished author.  His first novel, Eye Contact, is in its sixth printing,, and his second novel, Double Exposure has been released in paperback.  He is also an avid musican, having mastered both the bass and rhythm guitars,  
7th Heaven marks Catherine Hicks fourth major role in a television series.  She previously starred in "Winnetka Road," "Tucker's Witch"  and the popular daytime drama, "Ryan's Hope."  She received a Best Actress nomination for her starring role in the television movie "Marilyn: The Untold Story."  Other television movie credits include "Redwood Curtain," "Once More With Feelings,"  "Running Against Time," and "Happy Endings."  An accomplished film star, Catherine's feature film credits include the 1997 release, "Turbulence," as well as "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," "Child's Play," "She's Out of Control," and "Razor's Edge."  She also starred in Francis Ford Coppola's "Peggy Sue Got Married" and Sidney Lurmet's "Garbo Talks."  She can also be seen in "8 Days a Week."  On Broadway, Hicks performed with Jack Lemmon in the world premiere of "Tribute."  She has also acted in a number of regional theater productions.  Born in Arizona on August 6th, Catherine's interest in acting began when she was in college.  After graduating with a double major in Theology and English, she won an acting fellowship to Cornell University where she received a master of fine arts degree.  Catherine currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, director and special effects artist Kevin Yagher, and their daughter Catie. 
Barry Watson humbly insists that his success is attributed to plain old good luck.  He also claims he's all about his hair; during his first season of 7th Heaven, the producers beggede him to cut it short-but he refused.  He finally relented (sorta).  Prior to landing his role on 7th Heaven, thr Traverse Michigan, native made recurring appearances on the television series "Malibu Shores," and has guest-starred on such popular shows such as "Sister,Sister," "Baywatch," "The Nanny" and the daytime saop "Days of Our Lives."  Barry's film credits include "Teaching Mrs Tingle," where he played an adolescent rebel.  He was also featured in the HBO original movie "Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman," starring Daryl Hannah, the television movie "Marina's Story," starring Helena Bonham Carter and the feature film "Circle Game."  He can also be seen in "Ocean's Eleven," "When Strangers Appear, " and "Sorority Boys."  Barry Watson is no longer a contract player on 7th Heaven, but has plans to be a story editor for the show. 
Jessica Biel made her television series acting debut on 7th Heaven.  In an impressive display of versatility, Biel also co-starred with Peter Fonda in the critically acclaimed 1997 feature film "Ulee Gold."  Starring as Fonda's rebellious granddaughter, she portrayed a character whose lifestyle and behavior are the antithesis of her character Mary on 7th Heaven.  She since appeared in the films "I'll be Home for Christmas, and "It's a Digital World."  Recently, she starred in "Summer Catch" with Freddie Prinze Jr.  She can also be seen in "Rules of Attraction" co-starring fellow WBer James Van Deer Beek (Dawson's Creek).  Initially pursuing her unique voacl talents, Jessica's performance career began at the age of 9 with several years of equity actor and regional musical theater, including productions of "Beauty and the Beast," "Anythi99ng Goes," "The Invisible People," "Annie" and "The Sound of Music."  Discovered at the 1994 IMTA Los Angeles Convention, she earned a scholarship to Diane Hardin's well-known and respected Young Actors Space.  She eventually expanded into professional modeling and appeared in national and international television commercials, and major print campaigns.  Since then, she has appeared in national magazines Sassy, YM, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, TV Guide, and People.  Jessica was born March 3rd in Ely, Minn., but considers Boulder, Colo., her true home.  She is currently attending Tufts University.  When not acting or studying, she enjoys singing, dancing, rollerblading, mountain biking, snowboarding, and hanging out with her friends.
