BIRTHDAY DECORATIONS

We keep our Birthday Decorations in a box that we get out before the party day. Even small pieces of left over party decorations can be used again! we use them year after year and add new items to it.

Decorations do not have to be expensive or elaborate. You can find colorful crepe paper streamers, party hats and balloons at any grocery store. These decorations always make a party feel festive and colorful!

Use decorations that go with your theme. If you are having a Barbie Party then place several Barbies throughout the room. If you have a boy and the theme is Outter Space try using some of his rockets and spacemen for decorations. We like to go to the local dollar store and buy small figures to help decorate the party room. For example clowns, angels, trucks, jets, and small dolls. These decorations can be given to the birthday child or used as prices for games!

Making decorations can be lots of fun for your kids. It helps build the excitement for the BIG day! Have them design place cards to go with the theme. For a great hanging decoration make a mobile to go with the theme. For a space party cut stars, planets and rockets out of shiny cardboard. For a circus cut out different animals, You can find these in a magazine, or have your kids color pictures from a coloring book and hang them!

Choose your cake and other refreshments to go with the theme too! This will help with decorating the room. Be creative and have FUN! See our Birthday Food Ideas.
