- Basil Rathbone played himself as a detective, in this series sponsored by Fatima Cigarettes. The first episode was 'The Strange Mr. Smith,' the thirty-ninth and final episode was 'Study in Suspicion,' on 10/01/49.

- Based on the character Harry Lime from The Third Man and starring Orson Welles, these stories are prequels to his date with death in Vienna. Lime is supposed to come across as a charming, amoral scoundrel. 52 episodes were made and still exist, beginning with 'Too Many Crooks' on 08/13/51 and ending with 'Greek Meets Greek' on 07/25/52.
