Jeff Regan, Private Investigator
- In its first incarnation, this program starred Jack Webb as Jeff Regan, 'the Lion's Eye.' He was employed by a Nero Wolfeish figure, the Lion. The pilot episode was broadcast on 7/10/48, it became a series the next week with 'The Prodigal Daughter.' The Webb era ended on 12/18/48 wirh 'The Man WHo Lived Down by the Sea.' When the program wa revied on 10/05/49, Frank Graham played Regan, Frank Nelson was 'the Lion.' Regan's character was drastically changed. There were 48 episodes ending on 08/27/50/
