Tim the legend!

This is my version3* webpage about my brother Tim, his travels as a Basketball player, and his life in the USA.

Two photos from Tim's 50 Games for the Mandurah Men's SBL side.
Photo link to more photos from Australia.

Tim then went on to play for a few years in Florida, USA,

In 1999 Tim was able to catch a greyhound from Florida to L.A. and then fly to Perth for a fortnight.

This is the only time in the last 5 years, Tim has been able to visit Perth.
Tim's academic performance at Brevard, was similiar in success to the Titans performance on the court. Tim was one of the top students in the country. The Titans won the Florida NJCAA State Championship,
which gave them a trip to Kansas, including one of Tim's first? experiences of snow.

Tim hit some "3"'s at a packed Hutchinson arena, at the National Tournament in Kansas.

This arena seats 7600 people. Probably the closest thing we have ever seen to that experience here in Perth, Australia is a really exciting NBL Wildcats finals game at the Perth Entertainment Centre. The NBL is the Australian equivalent of the NBA, with the very best NBL players occasionally getting short term NBA contracts. One exception being Perth's Luc Longley who went straight from Western Australia'sSBL to NBA and is well known for his role as a centre in the Chicago Bulls repeat "3-peat"/JORDAN MK II days in the late 1990's.

Tim then went on to play for an NCAA Division II side, the Knights, in North Carolina for 2 years. He also ran some excellent crosscountry for them, and graduated with honours!!!
In 2001 I got to visit Tim in USA for the first time, and stayed at his flat in South Carolina. It was a very interesting and special time for me, with memories like kicking an AFL footy, watching the movie 13 Days, seeing college basketball games on tv, meeting the W's, Tim's daughter, her "Mom" (as they say in the "states") some of my best memories. In early 2002 my parents recieved a really interesting, and well put together video, which showed Tim's graduation, Christmas 2001 for the W's and Tim, and a really interesting chronology of his daughter growing up with her Mom and Dad in the first few months of 2002.
In 2002, Tim moved to live and work in Charlotte, N.C.
Since Tim has been in Charlotte making a success of his job, and blessed with a decent car and apartment, and beginning this significant new chapter of his life, I have been able to keep in touch better by phone, which has meant a lot to me.
It has also been interesting to hear about the little girl growing up, and the new challenges there. Based on what Tim has done so far, I look forward to hearing what happens next, I know it will be awe-inspiring if he applies himself as he did at basketball, and God blesses him as He has in the past.

*Versions 1 and 2 disappeared into the cyberspace, i.e. I didnt update often enough. Will be back to improve this webpage from time to time.
