ChristianEthics released Sept 17, 2006 completely updates all of ChristianEthics options to work on the VSIXc Chat Network.
*VSIXc Chat Network is a new FREE chat service, dedicated to providing quality chat services. It's membership has doubled in two days, and it continues to grow steadily. VSIXc is NOT an MSN clone chat service, which means that VSIXc uses it's own chat ocx, not the official MSN chat ocx like some of the other MSN clone chat sites use. *This means MSN cannot shut VSIXc down :)
*When you download the vsixc chat software they place a special chat client under your start up menu, to make it quicker and easier for you to access their chat. This also helps show the emoticons for those who might be running an internet explorer version that is too old. You can join chat at vsixc with a bot, browser, or their chat client located under the start menu..programs..vsixc.
*Register your nickname(s) for free at www.vsixc.com before you try to use ChristianEthics.
*You can also register your chatrooms for free on vsixc.com so that they stay open 24/7, even if no one is there.
*At VSIXc Web Chat you can change the owner and host pass from your browser(internet explorer) by typing in: /ownerkey password or /hostkey password People can then use the /pass password to host or owner themselves in your room.
**AT VSIXc Chat the moderated room option works again, so you can use the spec options.
***Please note, currently VSIXc only lets you use your nickname in one chatroom at a time when you use a browser, but you can use a different nickname in several browsers to chat in different rooms at the same time. *If you use a script, such as ChristianEthics, you can sign into many chatrooms at once.
***NOTE: If you chat in VSIXc Chat with a browser, yes you can remove those pictures by peoples names, under the chatroom options...choose no avaters. You can also change your picture in your profile area if you like.
***Chatters can also use the VSIXc-mIRC basic bot to chat at VSIXc, which will allow them to join more than one room. They can download this baisic bot at: VSIXc-mIRC Basic Bot
*Remember: in order to use the ChristianEthics biblebot component you have to copy and paste the 'bible' folder form your previous CE into the new one, OR download the bible version files seperatly.
*Note: The new BibleBot system does NOT work with any of the bible version files contained in ChristianEthics prior to ChristianEthics 8.3. So if you are running CE 8.3 or older, you will have to download these new bible files. There are now 21 new versions avaliable from Here and they are also available for download below.
• Old MSN CE Downloads
*Please take note: I have left these old CE versions available for download because some people use the old CE's on standard irc networks. Some of the coding in the CE-Vsixc does not work at other irc networks, and hence some people chatting in irc still use the old CE. These people have my permission to download and use the old CE in legal standard irc networks.
**But the people who download and fix-up the old CE's to work at clones do NOT have my permission to use CE at the clones.
Clone chat sites such as buzzen, phreik, sparkpea, scnchat are illegally using the msn chat ocx to provide webchat with, and thus I do not want CE part of sites which act illegally.
Christians have no business supporting illegal sites, and I find it offensive that some people have downloaded and used the old CE at the illegal clone chat sites. I am shocked at even having to write this notice, because I did not expect any christians to acutally support illegal clones.
CE is proud to be a NON-CLONE supporter. I find it sad that so many who claim to be followers of God would rather pay a clone site who has sent illegal msn ads, and who collects money for illegally using the msn chat software instead of making their own. Being christian, is it not better to support the chat site that has tried to do things the right way, by making their own chat software, purchasing a stable and secure chat server, and offering permanent rooms for free, with no google ads, and even providing christian radio? I am happy to support VSIXc, and saddened to see so many christians decide to support the illegal and unethical clone sites instead.
I request that people DO NOT use CE at the clone sites. If you are currently using CE at a clone I ask that you please stop. I do NOT want all the work I have put into CE being used to benefit an illegal clone chat site.
• Bible Version Downloads [Fixed January 20, 2007]
*Thankyou to Travis for hosting the bible version files, so that the Geocities bandwidth limitations don't pose a problem for people. :)
Notice: I ask that you please do NOT download bible files from this site if you are going to use them at an illegal clone chat sites, including phreik, sparkpea, scnchat etc. (Please see notice above, or main CE site for more info.) I do not want bandwidth being used to support the illegal clone chats. If you want to use bible files on a clone chat site, please find someplace else to download them from. :) Thank you.
•Download Sound File Praise Song. 1.4mb
Unzip the folder and place the file named PraiseSong into the main ChristianEthics
folder. Then
open ChristianEthics and use the Music Options to turn Praise Song on.
