(1) Hervey Bagot, born 1145, died 1213. He married Millicent de Stafford (born 1158) and had son Hervey. (2) Hervey, Baron of Stafford, born 1195, died 1237. Son of Hervey and Millicent. Married Petronilla de Ferrers and had son Robert. (3) Robert, Baron of Stafford, born 1220. Died 1261. Son of Hervey and Petronilla. Robert married Alice de Corbet (born 1225) and had son Nicholas. (4) Nicholas, Lord Stafford, born 1246. Died August 1st, 1287 at the seige of Droslan Castle, in Wales. Son of Robert and Alice. Married Eleanor Clinton (born 1250) and had son Edmund. (5) Edmund, Baron Stafford, born July 15th, 1273. Died 1308. Son of Nicholas and Eleanor. Married Margaret Basset and had son Ralph. (6) Sir Ralph, Earl of Stafford and Steward of the Royal Household, born September 24th, 1301. Died August 31st, 1372 at Tunbride Castle. Son of Edmund and Margaret. Married Margaret, Baroness of Audley, and had son Hugh. After Ralph's first wife, Katherine, died, he and some of his relatives raided the Essex home of Hugh de Audley, the soon-to-be Earl of Gloucester. They stole his goods, abducted his daughter and heiress Margaret, and Ralph married her agaisnt her will. Hugh filed a complaint, but was pacified by King Edward III, who gave Ralph a large portion of the Gloucester inheritence. (7) Sir Hugh, Earl of Stafford, born about 1342. Died October 6th, 1386. Son of Ralph and Margaret. Married Phillipa de Beauchamp and had daughter Catherine. (8) Catherine Stafford, born about 1368. Died April 8th, 1419. Daughter of Hugh and Phillipa. Married Michael de la Pole.
