Jesse Cohn: PEOPLE

People I Think You Should Meet

  • This is a web page devoted to my friend Ronald Creagh, whose book, L'Imagination Dérobée (loosely translatable as "The Hidden Imagination" or "The Stolen Imagination"), I am slowly reading in French.  Here, in English, is an article he published in the Times Higher Education supplement (October 12, 2001) on the emergence of Anarchist Studies in the academy.

  • Here is the website for Subterranean Books in St. Louis, a splendid independent used bookstore run by my very good friend Javier Parada -- we used to work together in that same storefront when it was someone else's shop.

  • This is the website for the Northwest Indiana Greens, a local chapter I helped start in the winter of 2003.  Wonderful folks involved with that.

  • This way to the pages of one of my best teachers. Howard Richards teaches philosophy and Peace and Global Studies at Earlham College, my alma mater. At his site, you can read several of the later chapters in his astounding tour of social philosophy, Letters From Quebec, but not, alas, the first 50 letters, which are really the crucial ones. However, I host an HTML version of Letter 50 -- a powerful meditation on the political limitations and possibilities of poststructuralist philosophy.
