Armour Heritage Centre

Image Copyright Peter LauThe Armour Heritage Centre at Sungei Gedong Armour Center was officially opened on 3rd July 1998 by Chief Armour Officer (CAO), Brigadier-General Ong. The purpose of the Heritage Centre is to preserve all records and relics of Armour's history such that the Armour family could have a sense of belonging and Esprit de corps to the Armour Formation.

Located adjacent to the HQ Armour, the centre has a fine collection of exhibits and relics. Rare pictures of the "Camels" and their training in Israel are amongst the most precious articles displayed inside the centre's building. In addition to the photographs, there are numerous newspaper clippings, dressed mannequins, small arms and artifacts donated by the close-knitted Armour community.
