PREVIOUS WORK DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide management for automated programmable systems. Develop, update, modify machine algorithms and software programs to meet operational needs. Specify/direct installation of power & process instrumentation: transducers, transmitters, RTD's, recorders, and remote I/O, to measure and control real-time parameters. Comply with various industrial codes (e.g.: NEC, JIC, NEMA). Conduct periodical field checks and oversee installation and calibration of control system devices by electricians and technicians. Design One-Line, Control, Schematic, Interconnection, Loop Diagrams, Point Lists, Gantt, PERT, CPM, and Physical Layouts using CAD/MGMT tools for Power, Control, Building, and Process systems. Document system software with Flow and Ladder Diagrams and commented Source Code. Troubleshoot and PM PC'S and PLC's. Monitor, analyze, assess, and forecast KWH power consumption using input from multiple KWH meters and programmable Power Monitoring Systems. Apply Demand Controls and Energy Management Systems for cost savings. Review plant power billing and coordinate with electric companies to analyze present and proposed rate structures for optimal billing. Produce periodical reports for plant electrical consumption, energy profiles, forecast information, and internal billing. Keep abreast with developments in computer field and constantly review new equipment and techniques to recommend optimal application of PC & CAD systems and software for engineering project needs. Provide technical support in the installation of PC systems, peripherals, and software. Train staff members in use and application of workstation control and application programs and DOS /OS2 /UNIX /WINxx. Troubleshoot hardware/software problems in systems. Develop Excel / Lotus type spreadsheet templates, dBase III command programs, batch files, and multiple configuration and batch programs for single-users and networks.
