My home is very close (50 m) to the Garbatella Metro Station, B line, and is easy to find. Walk to Piazza Albini, face the yellow sign "Sintesi" and look the building at your right. The building has two entrances, look for the gate n.7.
look at the map from Piazzale Ostiense.
Park in Piazza Albini or in Piazza Vallauri. Then walk to my place.
From P.zza Venezia: take bus 715 or 716, they stop downstairs the Campidoglio city palace. In about 10 minutes ride, a few stops later the Piramide, you will be at the Garbatella Metro Station. Leave the bus and follow the map.
From Termini Rail Station: Take Metro "linea B", the blue one, direction Laurentina. Stop at Garbatella, then follow the map.
From Ostiense Rail Station: Take Metro "linea B". Garbatella Metro Station is the closest one in Laurentina direction.
From Ottaviano-S.Pietro or any station along the A line (red line): Go to Termini Rail Station, then change to B - Laurentina direction. The same ticket is valid as you do not leave the underground.
From any other rail station in Rome: Metropolitan Train (surface) to Ostiense Rail Station, then use Metro B to Garbatella (two ticket are requested).
After midnight is available the nightly bus service. Useful lines are the 91N from Termini in direction of Piazza Venezia, and then from Piazza Venezia to Garbatella Metro Station. At 00:35 and 01:05 you can catch a bus at the door of "Teatro della Cometa", downstairs Campidoglio city palace.
Tickets are available at newspaper stands, many bar and automatic machines. Beware that after 8:00 p.m. tickets can be hard to find, so buy them in advance. Do not board without a valid ticket.
Tickets (€ 1,00) are valid 75 minutes after their validation to ride ATAC buses and Tram. During the 75 min. validity interval, you can board once on the Metro (underground) OR on the Metropolitan train (surface).
From Fiumicino (Leonardo Da Vinci) airport: Use the train to Ostiense Rail Station (€ 5,00 for 2nd class, it takes 27 min to Ostiense, trains run every 20' during the week or 30' on sundays) or the non-stop 1st-class train to Termini (€ 9,50, it takes 35 min to Termini, it runs every 30'). In both cases you have to take the Metro, the total travel time is the same for both even if the first is less expensive.
From Ciampino airport: Bus (COTRAL) to Ciampino Rail Station, then train to Termini and Metro B to Garbatella. OR, Bus (COTRAL) to Anagnina Metro Station, Metro A to Termini and Metro B to Garbatella.
